Taking screenshots on Runescape!

  • Learning how to take a screenshot on Runescape is your first step. A screenshot is a picture or image captured from your computer's screen.
  • The easiest way to take a screenshot is to press the 'Prnt Scrn' (Print Screen) button on your keyboard. This automatically saves the image to your computers 'Clipboard'. This means that you should not take another screenshot or 'copy' anything using your computer as it will replace your screenshot on your computer's 'Clipboard'!

  • Now, open up the program 'Paint', which comes free with all Windows computers (Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Paint). Once Paint is opened you will need to paste your screenshot from your computers clipboard into Paint. To do this press Ctrl+V together on your keyboard or right click with your mouse and select Paste. The screenshot you took will now appear in Paint!
  • You now need to crop your screenshot so that it shows only the area that you want to be seen in your Runescape image. No-one wants to see your start bar or  iTunes playing just outside the Runescape window!
  • To crop your image in Paint click the 'select' tool in the Paint sidebar (as shown in the image below) and drag it over the area of your Runescape screenshot that you want to keep. You can now drag the area you have selected around the document by hovering your mouse over the selected area and left clicking. Alternatively you can copy this area onto a new document by first using Ctrl+C on your keyboard or right clicking on your mouse and selecting Copy, and then opening a new Paint document using Ctrl+N (or File -> New), and finally pasting your selected region using Ctrl+V.

  • You can also use the blue dots around the edges of your Paint document to crop the image aswell as or instead of the method descibed above. Just select a blue dot from the edge of the document and drag it to change the area of your document.

Hi,

It doesn't say what format to save the image as, eg. JPEG, GIF.

Can you please send me a private message saying what format it should be in when i upload, when i upload it say's image format not supported or something like that.

Thanks
