RSM Updates Overview
So, what has the RSM team been up to for the last couple of weeks? Well, apart from the obvious bug fixes (almost all have been fixed), other improvements include:
- Forum Update. RSM now runs a better forum, which can be integrated within the site or viewed on its own. This forum has all the normal forum features including profiles, preferences, user groups, private messaging, smilies, bbcode, etc.
- Forum extras. We've just introduced a 'quick reply' option, that makes posting very... well... quick! We've also allowed you to see what post the latest replies in each forum were on from the main page. A chatbox, that may or may not be staying, has been introduced at the bottom of the forum!
- SEO optimisation. We are now indexed by google (though not very well). This will continually be improved.
- Image Links. All the images gallery pictures now have direct link code and bbcode boxes, making them very easy to share with others or post on other forums!
- Support Signatures. We currently have four support signatures available, and more are soon to be added.
- Community. We've improved the whole community system, which will allow us to perform some good site updates in the future.
. Plans for the immediate future:
- A forum skin that suits the site exactly. Estimated time: Unknown (but the results will be awesome!)
- More of everything. More tutorials, more support sigs, more articles.
- Competitions and prizes. We are currently trying to sort out prizes for our proposed Runescape video and image competitions. Have any ideas? Let us know!

Lets get this thing rolling! Runescape Media has been up for just 2 days, but we need more members. 'RSM it' is a phrase we coined that means 'Oi you... upload that to RSM now!'. If you see a nicely edited video you think our community would like, tell the owner to 'RSM it', or add it yourself! If you see someone on Runescape doing something worth showing the world, tell them to RSM it! If you stumble upon a screenshot of a player stuck on the roof of varrock bank, tell them to RSM it! We've been updating the site since it was launched, and have officially solved any errors you guys have had. So now its your time to give something back (:p).
Ways to support Runescape Media:
- Tell your friends! If you like this site, then they probably will too!
- Add videos and images. Adding videos takes about 3 seconds (literally), and adding images only takes a few seconds longer.
- Tell us what you want. We are after all, a community. So we plan on trying to implement any features/ideas that users have support for
- Get active! And we don't mean lift some weights... just login to RSM to comment and rate articles/images/videos!
- Use our support signitures on your website/forum (if you've made your own- just private message me and I'll add them to the site!):

Runescape High Definition has just been released, and is set to revolutionise RSMV making! Although criticised by some players because of increased lag, the improvement is incredible. Its no Runescape 3, but this is the future!

Hello, and welcome to Runescape Media (Beta)!
Runescape Media is a brand new and unique Runescape Video and Image community created by Runescape players for Runescape players. We aim to build a strong community, and encourage users to get involved! We have a lot of unique features, that other sites do not, including:
- Browse a TON of videos, rate,comment, response, etc
- Add videos in seconds from over 30 different video hosts
- Download videos from the site onto your PC (and even put them on your video ipod etc)
- Browse a ton of images in a lot of different catagories, and slideshow them
- Add images to the site in seconds
- Download as many images as you like
- Send images as Ecards to your friends
- Talk on the fully integrated forum (don't worry- the gp guild owns the forum)
- Talk on the fully integrated chatroom (flashchat that works)
- Comment around the site, which is also integrated with your profile
- Add a picture, details about yourself, and a lot more on your own profile
- Use our awesome private messaging system
- View tutorials about making runescape videos and images
- Get involved by applying to become a journalist
- Browse sites from within RSM such as youtube, or imageshack
