STEP 1: Get your personal referral link (URL)

To get your own unique referral URL simply select 'Referrals' from the drop-down menu under 'Resources/Help' at the top of the page.

Your personal referral URL is given at the bottom of that page and labelled as the 'referral invitation link'.

STEP 2: Spread the word

Copy your referral link by right clicking it and selecting copy, or by pressing Ctrl+C on your keyboard. You can now paste it anywhere you like.

For example, you could post it in your Runescape video descriptions so anyone that views your video and clicks on the link to register will count as a referral. You could use the Youtube annotations feature to make your link stand out in your video.

You could also, for example, post it in a forum signature (if allowed) or paste it to your friends over your favourite instant messenger client.

On the referrals page you can also directly e-mail your friends to invite them to the site, and even import your contacts:

As you may know, Runescape Media has been classed by Jagex as a 'safe site'. You are allowed to discuss the site on Runescape or on The Official Runescape Forums, but telling people links is still against the Runescape rules!

STEP 3: Track your progress

The top 10 referees will be displayed on the Runescape Media homepage. Remember, it is the person in the top position at midnight GMT on the 30th June who will win this Runescape Media competition!
